We'll discover how Slack has evolved from a collaboration hub into an AI-powered work surface where teams are beginning to rethink how work gets done inside the tools they already use every day. In the session, we'll explore how Slackbot and related AI capabilities can help summarize conversations, surface action items, answer questions, and keep work moving without leaving the flow of discussion.

Hello Slack Enthusiasts,

What You Will Learn ๐Ÿ“

๐Ÿš€ Slack, Meet Your New Coworker: From Slackbot and Beyond

Join us for another energizing conversation in person on Thursday, August 20th in Plano, Texas. This month's event is a joint collaboration between the DFW Slack community group and the Dallas TechXchange (DTX) group in Plano.

For the August 20th event, we'll discover how Slack has evolved from a collaboration hub into an AI-powered work surface where teams are beginning to rethink how work gets done inside the tools they already use every day. In the session, we'll explore how Slackbot and related AI capabilities can help summarize conversations, surface action items, answer questions, and keep work moving without leaving the flow of discussion.

We'll look at emerging patterns for agentic collaboration in Slack, including Claude Tag and what it means to delegate work to AI while maintaining context, visibility, and governance. You'll walk away with a clearer view of how AI can extend collaboration inside Slack, plus practical ideas for using these capabilities to reduce friction and keep teams moving.
