• Slackbot reaching out to tools — its MCP client pulling in and acting on outside systems mid-conversation

• A partner app connecting Slack to other systems — using Linear as the example, including the difference between the @Linear bot and Linear's MCP server through Slackbot

• A tool connecting into Slack — Claude Tag, Anthropic's AI teammate that joins a channel with its own identity and memory

We'll close by comparing all three against the same questions: where does context live, whose identity is acting, and where's the human checkpoint. You'll leave with a way to evaluate any AI-Slack integration, not just the three we cover.
