About Me

Lukas Karlsson is a cloud architect and developer advocate with 20+ years of experience working in large-scale, heterogeneous computing environments across multiple industries including manufacturing, finance, internet services and scientific research. Currently, Lukas supports genomics research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he designs complex cloud solutions and helps developers build research applications in the public cloud. As founder of Alienwebshop, Lukas has been providing web hosting and consulting services since 1999. He also co-founded the GDG Cloud Boston Meetup and is excited to continue growing the group with his co-organizers and to connect with more GCP users in the Boston area. Lukas is an avid fan of graffiti and street art and posts photos of his travels on Instagram.
