Join this first (virtual) meetup for the Oslo chapter and become a founding member of our local community, where we will share knowledge and discuss best practices about the Slack platform. The event is held in English and is open to anyone. A year ago, I contacted Slack to help create an Oslo chapter for the Slack Platform community. I wanted to have a local place where people could meet, exchange ideas and talk about how we can take Slack to a higher level by tapping into the platform. Once the Covid-19 pandemic hit full force, the platform meetup initiative was put on the backburner. As it now looks like we won't be able to meet in-person for a while, we'll start with virtual meetings and take it from there. I am a software entrepreneur based just outside Oslo. I started building software more than 30 years ago, and created a software development framework called Qt (which is still popular today; https://qt.io). After many years of running a business and being an investor, I'm writing code again. About five years ago, I became an investor and co-founder in a company called Conclude that built a decision-making bot for Slack. I've always been looking for better ways to collaborate, and we started on a journey with several pivots where Conclude has now become a development framework for building business apps that run inside Slack. In order to bring my ideas to life, I had to get rid of the business suit and go back to my roots. For the last three years, I've been deeply involved in fullstack development and have worked full-time with the Slack platform. Hope to see you on Wednesday! Haavard Nord PS: I'm looking for someone to run the Oslo chapter together with me. Let me know if you're interested
