Hello Slack Enthusiasts,

Kevin Albers is an energetic, enthusiastic IT leader with 15+ years of experience in leading a wide spectrum of business transforming initiatives. He's also the VP of customer experience at Slack. 

As graduate of GE’s IT Leadership Program, he is well versed in program management and customer relations. He brings a collaborative and innovative style to his work with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in global matrixed environments.

As Slack’s first Solutions Engineering leader, he spent 2+ years delivering value to new prospects and customers before taking on a leadership role in Customer Experience in 2017. In 2021, Kevin’s position evolved into the VP of Slack’s Customer Experience, delivering the success of the company’s support organization.

A few other facts about Kevin:

  • He has a 3 month old, Rafaël.
  • Music is his passion–he's always listening to new/old tunes and you’ll find him with a guitar in his hands during his free time.
  • Kevin developed the first-ever Slack/Salesforce integration way back in 2015 after Slack CEO, Stewart Butterfield said “it’s crazy that we can’t look up account information in Slack” and his EA at the time nudged Kevin to make it happen. And he did!

How it will work

  • This event takes place entirely in a Slack workspace, and does not have a virtual video component.
  • If you aren't already in the community workspace, you'll need to join us in Slack (check your registration email for access).
  • Once you're in the workspace, visit #slack-ama.
  • Click on the blue lightning bolt in the message composer. It's on the left of the input box on top of the plus sign.
  • Select the "Ask AMA question" workflow. This will open a dialog box where you can add your question.
  • Your question will be reviewed and then posted into the AMA channel.
  • The team will answer the question in the thread via text,  in in a video or audio clip. You can reply in thread, too!
