Lead Content Designer
I joined the Slack design team in November as the new Sr. Director of Content Design. My last role was at Microsoft where I led content design teams for Microsoft 365 commercial products and started the Microsoft Content Design Community. I'm energized by creating new experiences from scratch, solving gnarly design problems, and helping content designers grow and expand their careers.
Celia is a Content Designer at Slack and helps make our products sound human and approachable. She joined the team in October of 2021 and has worked on projects for Enterprise features and Slack Connect. Celia is a big fan of the Oxford comma, even though she doesn't get to use it very often.
I was born and raised in New Orleans and have lived in Mississippi, Maryland, Austin, and most recently San Francisco, where I live with my wife and two dogs, Rosemary and Pollock (like the painter).
Annie came to tech by way of journalism, where she worked with a variety of clients on their voice and tone, and overall editorial strategy. Now she focuses on bringing that narrative structure to UI. In her spare time, she loves to travel, has a billion hobbies, and writes poetry.
